Barbie's Real Dream House

I am  a big Barbie fan as evidenced by  a trunk full of old Barbies and her accessories.  In 2009 Barbie celebrated her 50th anniversary and Jonathan Adler designed a real life Barbie Beach House.  Being a house lover, I had to post this even though it is somewhat old news. I thought it would also be the perfect Pink Saturday post.

Here is a picture of the living room. I just love the Barbie fabric on the chairs. Do you notice anything unusual about the chandeliers?
If you look closely you can see they are covered in Barbie's hair.

Check out both sides of the fireplace. Do you see Barbie's poodle? I still have my Barbie poodle, it was made of soft plastic and was white.  Mine is grey now.  Look over the fireplace......

there is a mirror made with Barbie dolls. I so love this.

Now talk about a pink bedroom. This certainly qualifies, don't you think?

This closet is something I could get used to. I wonder what is in the glass jars on the shelves. Anyone know?

Here is the recreation room. I am shocked that the pool table did not have more pink, but there are pink balls.

The pool area below, love the pink floor.

Here is a close up of the pink rose topiary at poolside.

Jonathan did not forget one detail including the "to do" list, written on pink paper and held with pink tape. I laughed when I read the list.

Hope you enjoyed this pink post. For more pinks please visit Beverly's blog - How Sweet The Sound for some lovely pink posts.

With all the money Barbie has made she can afford any house she wants. Love this post.

Oh Carey Ann Sweetie...
Happy Pink Barbie Saturday and what a gorgeous share. I have not seen this before, so I am tickled PINK to see it now.

In the closet, those topiary jars? I would say they are filled with little Barbie shoes. Gotta love the shoes.

I love the front room chairs with the Barbie fabric, but I am not that gung ho on the hair chandelier. I think I could pass on that one.

Love that mirror though with all those Barbie Dolls surrounding it. It is SO stinkin cute. Love it.

I also love the fireplace with the poodle on either side. I wish I still had mine. Sadly I do not.

Thanks for the beautiful share sweet friend. I so enjoyed myself. Have a beautiful Pink Saturday sweetie. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
